Instrument Manager™ v9.01.00 Brings New Features and Improved Security
Data Innovations® (DI) is pleased to announce the availability of Instrument Manager™ (IM) v9.01.00. This edition is a major release and contains new feature enhancements, as well as database and cybersecurity updates. This release reflects DI’s dedication to advancing laboratory operations, delivering powerful new features and strengthening cybersecurity.
How IM v9.01.00 Benefits Your Team
- IT Administration, Lab Manager: Stay ahead of cybersecurity risks and compliance requirements with robust, updated security features and regulatory alignment.
- IT Administration, Medical Technologist: Experience smoother upgrades and less disruption, thanks to faster system startups and reduced failover times.
- Network Admin: Easily manage users in diverse environments with enhanced LDAP multi-domain support, reducing administrative overhead.
What’s New in IM v9.01.00
- Enhancements:
- Moving Averages Application: The new release includes upgraded technology and improved user experience for the Moving Averages & Moving Medians tool, enabling better identification and tracking of laboratory quality trends.
- Startup and Failover Efficiency: IM now starts up with no delay between each connection, reducing downtime for both failovers and user-initiated startups/restarts.
- Test Properties & DI Gateway Help: Help resources for the DI Gateway framework and Test Properties app have been consolidated into the IM Help system for easier access. The Test Properties app enables users to import reference ranges from an LIS and integrate them with IM’s autoverification system to flag test results that fall out of normal reference ranges.
- Multiple Domain Authentication: IM now supports authentication against multiple domains. When LDAP authentication is enabled, user IDs are recorded in the format “username@domain” in the System Log. This ensures secure and seamless access for staff across different organizations, reducing administrative complexity and maintaining compliance with data integrity standards.
- InterSystems® IRIS Database Upgrade: IM’s database platform has been upgraded from IRIS 2024.1.2 to IRIS 2025.1 for improved performance and reliability.
- Security Updates:
- Ongoing security enhancements ensure IM functions securely in your environment, strengthening your organization’s resilience to cyber threats.
- Issue Corrections:
- Fluid Code Mapping Retention: Resolved an issue where Fluid Codes were not retained under certain conditions.
- {Is Rerun} Data Element: Fixed an issue where the {Is Rerun} data element was not set for test occurrences created using the Rerun Reflex action.
- Status Display Screen Freeze: Addressed a scenario where saving rules with the Status Display screen open could cause IM to freeze.
