LPM

P.G.P.'s Lab Production Manager (LPM) V5 has been designed to significantly increase the performance of any laboratory regardless of size, configuration or test volume. Thanks to P.G.P’s neutral positioning towards information systems or instrument manufacturers, LPM has proven to be a highly adaptable product -- users are not limited in their choice of instruments, thereby guaranteeing their investment for the long term.

The software kernel offers an extensive, almost unlimited flexibility, enabling P.G.P.'s R&D team to accommodate the most specific and complex laboratory requirements not only for individual clients, but also when planning and developing new releases.

The main function of Lab Production Management (LPM) V5 is to provide host connections for analysers, using a standardised user interface, allowing users to make an informed decision on the technical validity of results. Thanks to the software modularity, users are able implement a working mode based on their needs and/or preferences, as this can vary vastly in different areas of the laboratory and at different times of the day or week.

LPMv5's modularity, along with its security and traceability functionality, thereby respecting rules of good practice necessary for laboratory accreditation, makes it suitable for any laboratory configuration and adaptable to the expansion of any mono- or multi-site environment.

LPM V5 also offers basic entry of test requests, printing of worklists, result lists, result reports, patient and analyser QC and short to medium term storage, in the event of host computer downtime.  In addition, LPM provides for intelligent resynchronization with the host when it comes back in service.

Going beyond simple connectivity, LPM V5 also handles sample routers and robotic sample transport systems. It can calculate optimum routes and track the location of samples at any given time. This means that existing LPM users do not have to re-learn a whole new software product if they move to a robotic sample transport system and can keep using their existing interface and rule base.
