INSTRUMENT MANAGERTM Patch Upgrades
Data Innovations has enhanced the download section of the Data Innovations Customer Web Portal. All on-line resources are now available through the Customer Web Portal. This includes user documentation, training materials, interface drivers, Instrument Manager software patches, and Language Locale files.

The latest shipping version of Instrument Manager is v8.10.01.
IMPORTANT: The downloads of Instrument Manager software available through the Customer Web Portal are Patch upgrades.
Do NOT extract the contents of any of these Zip files into your C:\drive (i.e., the root of our primary hard drive)
Always create a NEW folder and then extract the contents of the Zip file into that folder.
Do NOT use any of these patch upgrades to perform a FULL version upgrade.
You MUST request an upgrade kit (by contacting our Sales Department) if you want to upgrade as follows:

Upgrading to v8.09.02
Important: The Customer Web Portal contains an important patch upgrade for customers with Specimen Management Rules. It addresses the Alert notice issued to customers on May 11, 2009 regarding customers using versions 8.05 through 8.09 of Instrument Manager with Specimen Management Licensed, and processing samples between the hours of Midnight and 2:46am.
Upgrading to v8.08.03
Important: The Customer Web Portal contains an important patch upgrade for customers with Specimen Management Rules. It addresses the Alert notice issued to customers on May 11, 2009 regarding customers using versions 8.05 through 8.09 of Instrument Manager with Specimen Management Licensed, and processing samples between the hours of Midnight and 2:46am.
Upgrading to v8.07.02
Important: The Customer Web Portal contains an important patch upgrade for customers with Specimen Management Rules. It addresses the Alert notice issued to customers on May 11, 2009 regarding customers using versions 8.05 through 8.09 of Instrument Manager with Specimen Management Licensed, and processing samples between the hours of Midnight and 2:46am.
IM versions 7.04.0001 through 8.04.03.01 Users
IMPORTANT: The Customer Web Portal contains an important utility for use by customers potentially affected by an issue with the SM Database. This issue was outlined in the Critical Updates alert notice sent to customers on September 19, 2007. Go to the download section of the Customer Web Portal to access the zip file containing the SM Database Index Repair Utility and its instructions for use.

Check Security Key Compatibility Before A v8.05 or higher Upgrade
Before you upgrade to Instrument Manager v8.05 or higher, determine whether your Security Key is compatible with that version of IM. To check your Security Key Compatibility, you will need to go to the Download section of the Customer Web Portal to download the instructions and zip file.
Cache ODBC Driver
This driver is available for use by Instrument Manager v8.05 and v8.06 users.
Upgrading to v8.06.04
Important: The Customer Web Portal contains an important patch upgrade for customers with Specimen Management Rules. It addresses the Alert notice issued to customers on May 11, 2009 regarding customers using versions 8.05 through 8.09 of Instrument Manager with Specimen Management Licensed, and processing samples between the hours of Midnight and 2:46am.
NOTE: This patch also inculdes corrections from 8.06.03 which addressed the Alert notice issued to customers on October 26, 2007 regarding customers using Instrument Manager versions 8.05 and 8.06 and SM Rules that evaluate results across instruments or messages.
Upgrading to v8.05.04

It addresses the Alert notice issued to customers on May 11, 2009 regarding customers using versions 8.05 through 8.09 of Instrument Manager with Specimen Management Licensed, and processing samples between the hours of Midnight and 2:46am.
IM Version 8.05 Users
IMPORTANT: The Customer Web Portal contains an important patch upgrade for 8.05 Hot Backup customers. This patch addresses the Alert notice issued to customers on March 9, 2007.
IM Version 8.04 Users
IMPORTANT: The Customer Web Portal contains an important patch upgrade for customers with Specimen Management using the Results Review/Edit/Release screen. This patch addresses the DI-Alert notice issued to customers on August 10, 2006.
Installation Instructions Viewing the installation instructions requires Adobe Acrobat ® Reader. You can obtain this software free of charge from Adobe. Be sure to follow the instructions for your operating system when downloading and installing this software.
ZIP Files This downloadable software is compressed in WinZip file format. Opening and extracting these files requires WinZip ® software. You can obtain this software for a small charge at www.winzip.com.
